No. Lumo plans for Europe are data-only — they provide mobile internet with no calls, SMS or phone number. Keep your primary SIM active if you need voice and text.
Most phones released from 2018 onwards support eSIM, including iPhone XS and later, Google Pixel 3 and later, and many Samsung Galaxy models. Check Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Data) for an eSIM or Add Cellular Plan option, and make sure the phone is carrier-unlocked.
When the eSIM is activated, which our terms count as the moment the profile is installed and provisioned on your device, or the moment it first connects to a partner network — whichever happens first. Install it close to your trip rather than the day you buy it, and turn on data roaming for the Lumo line once you arrive in Europe. That same moment is when the plan stops being refundable, so installing is not a step you can undo.
Yes. Every option on this page is recorded as supporting hotspot and tethering, so a laptop or a second phone can use the connection. Shared traffic comes out of the same allowance.
No account or registration is required to buy. Your plan arrives instantly by email and activation takes about 30 seconds. Turn on data roaming for the Lumo line once you arrive in Europe to start using mobile internet.
Unused eSIMs can be cancelled and refunded in full within seven days, as long as they have not been activated. Once an eSIM has been activated it is no longer refundable.
